Bolen Bluff

Nice little hike out to a lookout post to get a good view of Payne's Prairie. The trail through the woods was way different than the hikes through my familiar woods in Tennessee. Cabbage palms, live oaks, Spanish moss, American beauty bush, and the like were common here. We saw some deer, a harrier, downy woodpecker, banana spider, and a couple of horses. The expanse of the prairie was awesome from the outpost.
